TimeProvider 5000

Carrier-grade Next Generation Network (NGN) packet-based timing and frequency

Featuring a built-in IEEE 1588 Grandmaster Clock, the TimeProvider 5000 combines hardware-based time stamping with highest level of timing and frequency accuracy for a broad range of wireline and wireless applications.

The TimeProvider 5000 is an independent timing reference that enables telecommunication providers to build a more stable, robust and reliable network infrastructure. This capability is vital for enabling C2P network convergence and providing high-speed services, wireless 2.5/3G, and broadband multimedia to the network edge and customer premise. High performance functions for telecommunications based applications.

TimeProvider 5000 combines the functionality of a highly-accurate, IEEE 1588 v2 GrandMaster Clock with 2.044 Kbps E1/ and 10MHz/1pps I/O ports in a high-performance, yet highly compact 1RU footprint. TimeProvider 5000 adheres to the latest IEEE 1588 v2 standard including the provisioning of telecom profile extensions for telecommunications based applications.

Improved QoS and Packet-Based Network Performance
The TimeProvider 5000 is designed from the ground up to handle the most stringent timing requirements of today’s emerging packet-based, next generation networks. The TimeProvider 5000 enables service providers to roll out feature-rich, lower-cost, packet-based services without having to sacrifice timing accuracy or all important quality of service.

Optional Quartz and Rubidium Oscillators
TimeProvider 5000 is available with both Quartz and Rubidium oscillator options enabling service providers and network equipment manufacturers to choose the optimal level of holdover based on network performance, applications requirements and equipment cost targets.

Compact Form Factor
Designed for deployment at Radio Network Controller (RNC) and Base Station Controller (BSC) sites where rack space and real estate are extremely limited.
