SoftClock for Networking Infrastructure
Flexible, cost-effective and high performance.
The SCi 2000 Rel. 2.1 SoftClock is a carrier-grade embeddable multiple-input software clock solution. It is designed to deliver high precision frequency and phase synchronization for telecom network equipment migrating from TDM to packet-based networks. The SCi 2000 rel. 2.1 is targeted for LTE macro base stations and network backhaul infrastructure.
SCi 2000 implements a PTP ordinary slave-clock as defined in IEEE Std 1588™-2008 and additionally supports other sync reference inputs, including SyncE, GPS, E1, T1, and redundant inputs from a peer clock. SCi 2000 runs on a target hardware platform delivering high precision frequency and phase synchronization using Symmetricom’s patented servo algorithm. The SCi 2000 v2.1 is designed to be hardware agnostic and provides a full-featured API set and sample FPGA functional blocks for easy and rapid development of the PTP slave clock. Features of the SCi 2000 include multiple -input sync, multiple packet rates, redundancy, fast convergence time and three service levels support to meet target network performance.
