Rapid Video Quality Information and Analysis

Headend analyzers and network probes are core components of the V-Factor QoE Platform. Analyzers examine the quality & integrity of source video and detect transcoding and encoding impairments. Hardware probes collect and report network performance metrics and content metrics and correlate all metrics directly to achieve perceptual video quality assessments. Together, Symmetricom’s analyzers and probes enable rapid identification of network problems.

Q-1200
This new high-end probe monitors digital video streams and troubleshoots the most difficult issues affecting video quality in the headend.  It combines deep pixel-by-pixel inspection of up to 16 simultaneous SD MPEG-2 videostreams and provides major video artifacts detection and V-Factor analysis of up to 100 video transport streams.  It has an extensive number of flexible connectivity options, including Gigabit Ethernet, 10Gbps Fiber and ASI.

Q-400
Ideal for video and VoIP applications and deployable across backbones or large PoPs, Q-400 monitors up to 400 SD or up to 1.2 Gbps of HD H.264 video streams and up to 10,000 VoIP streams in parallel in full passive mode. It supports unicast/multicast in full passive mode, MPEG2TS for any MPEG2 or H.264 video stream, and audio and video scoring. Q-400 supports 10/100/1000 UTP, Gig Fiber SX and LX, and 10Gbps Fiber. 

Q-200
The highly flexible Q-200 is a medium performance network probe designed to deliver performance visibility of premium services on live IP networks. The Q-200, which is ideal for video applications, enables the distributed monitoring of backbones and offers configurable test capacities of 10/100/1000 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) and SX ports. 

Q-1000 (standalone probe)
Symmetricom’s powerful headend analyzer monitors the encoder and headend network.
