The SCi 2000 Rel. 2.0 SoftClock is a carrier-class embedded multiple-input software clock solution. It is designed to deliver high precision frequency and phase synchronization for telecom network equipment migrating from TDM to packet-based networks. The SCi 2000 rel. 2.0 is targeted for small cells, LTE macro base stations and network backhaul infrastructure.
SCI 2000 Rel. 2.0 receives multiple types of input signals simultaneously including IEEE 1588-2008 PTP, SyncE, E1/T1 and GPS; and uses Symmetricom’s patented servo algorithm to generate a highly accurate clock output.
The SCI 2000 Rel. 2.0 is designed to be hardware agnostic and enables network equipment manufacturers (NEMs) to leverage their choice of processor and other hardware within their design to achieve superior clock performance and realize operational benefits. SCI 2000 Rel. 2.0 provides a well-defined Application Programming Interface (API) and [optional] FPGA functional blocks for easy and rapid integration.
