Ericsson’s Nortel unit has been leveraging Symmetricom’s expertise in high performance technology for oscillators’ aging and temperature compensation as well as Rubidium for use in its CDMA base stations.
More recently Ericsson has selected Symmetricom’s TimeProvider5000 as its recommended 1588 Grandmaster for 3G & LTE packet-based synchronization needs.
In addition Ericsson has been deploying Symmetricom’s S200 in 2G/3G environments and has selected the S350 NTP servers for LTE as well.
