Cisco and Symmetricom collaborate on timing over packet for mobile backhaul solutions using 1588 synchronization products by Symmetricom with Cisco’s Unified RAN Backhaul solution. The solution is validated (EANTC, inter-op, customers) to deliver continuous, robust high precision timing even during extensive network congestion and over-subscription.
Cisco recommends the Symmetricom TimeProvider® 5000 1588 Grandmaster for mobile backhaul synchronization requirements.
