Robert T. Clarkson
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Clarkson has been a member of Symmetricom’s Board of Directors since 2000. Mr. Clarkson is the partner-in-charge of the Menlo Park, California office of Jones Day, an international law firm. Mr. Clarkson has been a partner with Jones Day since February 2003. From September 2000 to February 2003, Mr. Clarkson was an independent consultant and investor. From March 2000 until September 2000, Mr. Clarkson served as Chief Operating Officer of MarchFIRST, a professional services company. From December 1998 to February 2000, Mr. Clarkson served in various executive positions with US Web/CKS, a professional services company that was a predecessor to MarchFIRST.
Al Boschulte
Board Member of the New York Independent System Operator
Mr. Boschulte has been a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since October 2002. Mr. Boschulte was a Board member of Datum, Inc., which was acquired by the Company in October 2002. Mr. Boschulte is currently a board member of the New York Independent System Operator where he is Chair of the Audit and Compliance Committee and Chairman of Probe Financial Associates. Mr. Boschulte was previously a Director of Transwitch Corporation, a communications ASIC developer. In addition, Mr. Boschulte was Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Nynex Mobile Communications, a cellular telephone company, from 1989 to 1995 and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Independent Wireless One Corp., a wireless telecommunications service provider, from 1999 to 2001.
Elizabeth A. Fetter
Chair, Compensation Committee, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of NxGen Modular, LLC.
Ms. Fetter has been a director of Symmetricom since October 2002, and was a director of Datum Inc, which was acquired by the company in 2002. Ms. Fetter is a director of Quantum Corp., a data storage company, and a board member and Chairman of Alliant International University, a non-profit educational institute. Since April 2011, she has served as President and CEO and director of NxGen Modular, LLC, a provider of mission-critical facilities and systems. She was formerly a director of Ikanos Corp, a provider of broadband equipment. Previously, she was President, CEO and Director at Jacent Technologies, a provider of ordering technology solutions for the restaurant industry. Ms. Fetter was also President, CEO and Director of QRS Corp, a retail supply chain software and services company, from October 2001 through the sale of the company in November 2004. She served as President, CEO and Director of Northpoint Communications Group, Inc. from March 2000 to its sale in April 2001, and served as President and COO of that company from March 1999 to March 2000. Ms. Fetter has also held several senior executive and officer positions at U.S. West Inc., SBC and Pacific Bell. She holds a Professional Director Certification from the Corporate Directors Group in Boston, MA.
Robert Neumeister
Chair, Audit Committee, Former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Linux Networx, Inc.
Mr. Neumeister has been a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since 1998. Since January 2009, Mr. Neumeister has been a board member at GeekNet, Inc., where he also served as Chairman from December 2007 to July 2010.  He serves on the Board of Trustees of American Sentinel University, a private for-profit educational institute. Mr. Neumeister was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Linux Networx, Inc., a privately held company in the high performance computing industry, from April 2006 until May 2007.  Mr. Neumeister served from December 2002 until October 2005 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Dex Media, Inc., a NYSE listed company that was acquired in January 2006 by R.H. Donnelley. Mr. Neumeister also served as Chief Financial Officer of Myriad Proteomics, Inc., a biotechnology company, from October 2001 to December 2002 and as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Aerie Networks, Inc., a telecommunications company. From December 1998 to January 2000 Mr. Neumeister was Vice President, Finance and Director of Finance of Intel Corporation, a semiconductor manufacturer. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Neumeister served on the board of Covad Communications Group, Inc.

 

Dr. Richard W. Oliver
Chair, Governance Committee, Chief Executive Officer, American Sentinel University
Dr. Oliver has been a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since 1997. Dr. Oliver has been Chief Executive Officer of American Sentinel University, a private for-profit educational institute, and its predecessors since June 2000. He is an Adjunct Professor of Management at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University. Dr. Oliver served for more than 20 years in executive roles at Nortel Networks as Vice President of Marketing, Network Integrity, and Business and Residential Services. Previously he served on the boards of six public and private companies, primarily in technology. He is the author of seven books and approximately 50 articles on management and technology.
Richard N. Snyder
Former Chairman & CEO, Asure Software Corporation
Mr. Snyder has been a member of Symmetricom’s Board of Directors since 1999. He was Chairman and CEO of Asure Software (formerly Forgent Networks), a provider of workforce management software. Previously he was Chairman and CEO of Forgent Networks. Prior to June 2001, Mr. Snyder was President and Chief Executive Officer of Corum Cove Consulting, LLC, a firm specializing in providing strategic guidance to high technology businesses. Mr. Snyder has over thirty years of experience in managing technology businesses. Previously at Hewlett-Packard, Mr. Snyder served as Group General Manager for the $3 billion inkjet printer business, where he created the Deskjet brand. As Senior Vice President and General Manager at Dell Computer, Mr. Snyder led the establishment of Dell's successful Internet sales model and was responsible for all operations of the $3.5 billion Americas Region. Mr. Snyder also holds a Professional Director Certification from the Corporate Directors Group, a national public company director education organization.
Robert J. Stanzione
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, ARRIS Group, Inc.
Mr. Stanzione has been a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since May 2005. Mr. Stanzione is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ARRIS Group, Inc., a communications technology company. Prior to his service at ARRIS Group, he was President, Chief Operating Officer and a Director of ANTEC, Inc., a manufacturer of Cable TV networking equipment. Prior to joining ANTEC he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of ARRIS Interactive, a Nortel Networks/ANTEC joint venture. From 1969 to 1995, Mr. Stanzione held a range of senior management positions with AT&T. Mr. Stanzione is currently a board member of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA).  He previously served as a Director of Evolve Products Inc., CoaXmedia and Georgia Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Jim Chiddix
Board of Directors of Arris and Virgin Media
Mr. Chiddix has been a member of the Symmetricom Board of Directors since 2007.  A 40-year cable TV industry pioneer, Chiddix was CEO and Chairman of software company OpenTV from 2004-2007 and served on its board of directors through 2009.  He held a variety or senior positions at Time Warner Inc. and its antecedents, including president of Mystro TV, a TW division that developed a server-based DVR service, and 15 years as CTO at Time Warner Cable.  Mr. Chiddix has been involved with virtually every major new technology embraced by the cable industry, including local ad insertion, fiber optics, video-on-demand, cable modems, and digital set-top boxes. Chiddix is also currently on the boards of Virgin Media, the primary UK cable operator;  Arris, an equipment supplier to cable and other broadband operators and Magnum Semiconductor, a Silicon Valley developer of chips and software for high-quality video compression and transcoding.  He served as a board member at Shougang Concord Technology Holdings Ltd., Hong Kong, an operator of digital cable systems in China, until April 2010 and on the board of Dycom Industries, a provider of construction services to the telecommunications and cable industries, from 2007 until November of 2011.
