Symmetricom Features Precise Timing and Synchronization Solutions for Next Generation Networks at CTIA WIRELESS 2008®

The company is exhibiting in the Walker & Associates booth #6201. Featured solutions include the company’s recently announced carrier-class IEEE 1588v2 grand master clock, TimeProvider™ 5000, as well as Symmetricom’s T1/E1 Translator, the TimeCreator™ 1000 DTI Server, the SA.31M Miniature Atomic Clock and TimeMAX™ Precision Frequency and Timing Subsystem.

Symmetricom and Nokia Siemens Networks Sync Up on Mobile Backhaul
In a separate announcement today, Symmetricom and Nokia Siemens Networks introduced the industry’s first open standard Timing over Packet solution offering operators a solution to the challenge of keeping network bandwidth capacity up to pace with the ever-increasing demand from data applications. An important component of NSN’s Timing over Packet solution is Symmetricom’s TimeProvider 5000 IEEE 1588v2 grand master clock, to synchronize base stations over the packet-based backhaul networks vital to sustaining profitability.
