The successful candidate will form part of a research and development team that is responsible for Symmetricom’s atomic clock technology. This includes gas cell clocks, beam clocks and maser clocks. The focus of this group is in the systems that support atomic interrogation and in the algorithms involved in using the atomic resonance information to support precision clock performance.
Initially, the successful candidate will support other members of the R&D team in development of atomic clock technology. Over time, the successful candidate will take on more independent responsibility for investigative and development efforts in improved performance, lower cost, longer life, smaller size and lower power designs.
In addition, the successful candidate will support the production of Symmetricom precision clocks.
