• Build and develop a capable R&D team of talented hardware engineers, embedded software engineers and system test engineers
• Overall management, direction, coordination and control of R&D operations including hardware, software development and system testing
• Schedule and coordinate development activities to meet the goal of quality, delivery, flexibility and effectiveness
• Optimize development process and utilization of engineering resources; ensure all runs smoothly and efficiently
• Responsible for the training, development, and performance evaluations of functional employees, with corrective action taken as necessary on a timely basis, in accordance with Company policies
• Work with peers in US to create multi-year operation plan based on the company China Business strategy  

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines, MS or PhD a plus
• Minimum 15 years of experience in product development including system design, hardware and software development
• Minimum 8 years of relevant management experience of technical professionals in related areas such as hardware, software development and system testing
• Mix of intelligence, integrity, domain knowledge, verbal agility, and diplomacy which allow you to rapidly earn the trust of technically-savvy teams.
• A solid understanding of Product Development Life Cycle  concept and process
• A solid understanding of real time embedded systems design and carrier grade system development
• Considerable relevant hands-on technical experience and a record of individual technical achievement.
• Strong project management background.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent in Chinese and English
• Experience working in R&D organizations
• Experience managing telecommunications projects
• Familiarity with TL9000 and/or ISO9000
• Experience working overseas for US based companies
